Instructions on how to get access to SCM Portal

Request access to scm.equinor.com

1. Request Access

To request access to the SCM Portal, please click the  Request access to scm.equinor.com  button to submit a request for access.

 

This will open a form that must be completed with the following information:

 

Equinor Reference (PO Number that starts with 45 and is 10 digits long)

First Name

Last Name

Email Address (The email address that will be onboarded into Equinor SCM Portal)

Comments (optional, but recommended for clarifying the purpose of the request)

 

After submitting the form, your request will be routed for review and approval. You will be notified once access has been granted or if additional information is required.

 

If you have submitted this form, then continue reading the next section for when request has been approved.

Supplier Information

2. When access request has been approved

When your access request has been approved by the SCM Portal team, you will receive two emails for onboarding as an affiliate user. 
 

1. Once added as a guest in Equinor’s environment, you will receive an email with information about the specific resource together with a link, click on the link to start the onboarding process. 


2. You will be directed to an Equinor page where you will be asked to accept that Equinor can access and process your data to create an account according to Equinor’s polices. You need to accept this to be able to proceed, click Accept.


3. Once accepted, you will receive a message saying that Equinor will require more information to protect your account. Click Next.


4. After pressing Next, you will be requested to set up Multi Factor Authentication. Please download the Microsoft Authenticator app to your mobile device if you do not have it installed already. Then click Next.


5. When Microsoft Authenticator is downloaded, you will be prompted to configure Microsoft Authenticator (How-to). Click Next to continue with the setup.

 

6. Before you are ready to access Equinor’s Teams or SharePoint resources, you need to accept the "Equinor Terms of Use" for external access.


a) Read the terms by selecting the arrow next to the most recent: "Terms of use for Equinor Affiliate Access solution"

b) Select "Accept".

Please note: You will only need to follow these steps the first time you log in. In the future, you will only need to authenticate through the approval notification received from the Microsoft Authenticator app on your mobile device. Read more about the process here: https://affiliates.equinor.com.


7. Afterwards, reopen the email from SCM Portal and click on accept invitation. This will guide you to scm.equinor.com for completing your registration. 

8. Make sure the invitation code is present before clicking Complete.

9. Accept the terms and conditions for the scm.equinor.com portal (read more here).

3. Managing the Reports

To upload a new report or view and edit existing reports, go to Manage Reports.

Upload a New Report
 

        Go to Manage Reports.

        Click Upload a New Report.

        The report form will open.

        Fill in the required fields:

Vendor

Title

PurchaseOrder
WorkOrders

Report type

Comment

Document and files (upload relevant attachments)


Once all required fields are completed, submit the form to upload the report. After submission, the report will be added to the report list.
 


View Existing Reports

 

Open Manage Reports.

The list of uploaded reports is displayed automatically.

Use the search bar, filters, or column sorting to find a report.

Click on report row to view its details (if enabled).


Edit an Existing Report

Open Manage Reports.

Select the report you want to edit from the list.

Update the required information or attachments.

Save your changes.

 

The report details will be updated and reflected in the list. 
 



Search for Reports
 

   Use the Search bar at the top labeled “Search list in your own words”.

    Type keywords such as:

  • Report title

  • Vendor name

  • Plant name

  • Status or report type

Press Enter or click the search icon 🔍 to see matching results.


Use Suggested Filters (AI Suggestions)

      Below the search bar, you will see Suggestions.

      Click any suggestion to automatically:

            Apply filters (for example, Pending Vendor status)

            Sort reports (for example, by Created On or Status)

 

      The report list updates instantly based on the selected suggestion.

⚠️ Note: AI-generated suggestions may not always be 100% accurate. Always review the results.


4. Sort Reports

      Click on any column header (for example, Title, Created Date, Report Type).

      Click again to switch between ascending and descending order.5. Refresh the Report List

      Click the Refresh button at the top of the list.

      The system reloads the latest uploaded reports.
