When your access request has been approved by the SCM Portal team, you will receive two emails for onboarding as an affiliate user.
1. Once added as a guest in Equinor’s environment, you will receive an email with information about the specific resource together with a link, click on the link to start the onboarding process.
2. You will be directed to an Equinor page where you will be asked to accept that Equinor can access and process your data to create an account according to Equinor’s polices. You need to accept this to be able to proceed, click Accept.
3. Once accepted, you will receive a message saying that Equinor will require more information to protect your account. Click Next.
4. After pressing Next, you will be requested to set up Multi Factor Authentication. Please download the Microsoft Authenticator app to your mobile device if you do not have it installed already. Then click Next.
5. When Microsoft Authenticator is downloaded, you will be prompted to configure Microsoft Authenticator (How-to). Click Next to continue with the setup.
6. Before you are ready to access Equinor’s Teams or SharePoint resources, you need to accept the "Equinor Terms of Use" for external access.
a) Read the terms by selecting the arrow next to the most recent: "Terms of use for Equinor Affiliate Access solution"
b) Select "Accept".
Please note: You will only need to follow these steps the first time you log in. In the future, you will only need to authenticate through the approval notification received from the Microsoft Authenticator app on your mobile device. Read more about the process here: https://affiliates.equinor.com.
7. Afterwards, reopen the email from SCM Portal and click on accept invitation. This will guide you to scm.equinor.com for completing your registration.
8. Make sure the invitation code is present before clicking Complete.
9. Accept the terms and conditions for the scm.equinor.com portal (read more here).
